What do you get when you cross a group of scientists fascinated by the function of molecules and biofilm with a group of industrious sales/support professionals dedicated to providing the highest level of service to their customers?  AMSA, Inc.!

AMSA, Inc. was founded in 1996, when Dr. Attila G. Relenyi, left his career with Dow Chemical to pursue his vision of bringing the knowledge of biofilms and how to best control them along with the innovative technology of DTEA II® chemistry to the industrial water treatment market.  With many charts, plots, and explanations of how AMSA’s class of chemicals made them unique among other dispersants in penetrating, dispersing, and cleaning organic deposits from surfaces, AMSA made its reputation as a leader in Biofilm Control Programs (BCP®) using DTEA II®

Along the way, AMSA attracted a talented staff with a variety of technical and hard core fundamental scientific backgrounds to support customer needs.  AMSA has also built a strong research and development team to design new products based on new active ingredients, not simply focused on blends, to better meet the needs of the water treatment industry in the area of fouling control.  With the expansion of the scientific and technical staff, AMSA has also grown in its sales and production capabilities. A strong group of professionals ensure orders are filled expediently and customers receive the highest quality service.  Subsequent blogs will expand upon AMSA’s core competencies as:

  • A technically based company with a deep knowledge in the area of biofouling and designing biofilm control programs for water treatment systems.
  • A chemical company that delivers top quality AMSA BCP® (biofilm control products) in both liquid and solid formulations.
  • Specialists in analytical & diagnostic methods to support the quality of AMSA products and provide advice & support to customers in the area of developing solid metrics for proving the efficacy of their biofilm control programs.
